Valentine's Day - Love Or Money?
It's Valentine's day today and one thing I've really noticed this year is the diverse opinions people have about the day and what it means.
For some, Valentine's Day is an artificial day fabricated by companies to stimulate sales and boost profit margins. For others it is a day to share with their partner and soul mate. So what is Valentine's Day really all about - Is it Love or Money?

I believe that as always - the answer is completely up to you!
You have the choice to decide what Valentine's day means to you and if, and how you will celebrate it.
I've decided, that for me, Valentine's day is a day to celebrate and be thankful for the sources of love in my life.
Love comes in many different forms and from many different sources, including:
- Your partner
- Family members
- Friends
- Children
- Pets
Rather than focusing on 'romantic love' as emphasised by the popular media, I'd like to encourage you to use this Valentine's Day to reflect upon and give thanks for all the love that you have in your life today.
A great way to do this is to simply close your eyes and think about the sources of love in your life and feel truly grateful for each one of them. Then take action to acknowledge each source of love.
For example, imagine for a moment that you are single and usually try hard to avoid the whole valentine's day experience. This year, instead of adopting a negative viewpoint, take a moment to think about the sources of love you do have in your life.
Perhaps there is a friend that you have known for years who has always been there for you. Close your eyes, imagine your friend and think of the fun times you've spent together. Really feel grateful for your friendship and then take a few minutes to send them a quick email to say something like,
"I was just thinking of you and thought I'd drop you a quick note just to say thanks for being a great friend. Let's catch up soon"
By being truly grateful for the sources of love in your life and acknowledging them, you can convert a negative viewpoint into a positive viewpoint that will in turn attract more love into your life.
This Weeks Action Steps:
(1) Identify the existing sources of love in your life
(2) Make the time to close your eyes and feel truly grateful for each source of love
(3) Take action to acknowledge each source of love in your life
(4) Enjoy your Valentine's Day
Until next time,
Dare To Dream!
