Today I’d like to introduce you to the 10 most important people in the world. Now this is not a matter of opinion, on the contrary, it is an undeniable FACT that these 10 people ARE the most important people in the world.
Who are they?
They are the 10 people that you spend the most time with on a regular basis.
Why are they so important?
The 10 people you spend the majority of your time with play a big part in forming your mental and emotional environment. They have an incredible impact on your level of self-esteem and how you view the world around you.
Have you ever noticed that when you start spending time with someone new, you tend to pick up some of their sayings or mannerisms?
Well, the same thing happens to an even greater extent on an energy level.
If you associate with negative people, you will pick up on their negativity and over time you will come to share their negative view of the world.
Similarly, if you associate with happy, vibrant people, over time you will develop the positive mindset that is essential for achieving success.
This is absolutely crucial.
If you want to be a success, you must minimise the impact of ‘toxic people’ in your life.
Sometimes this is easier said than done, especially when the negativity is coming from members of your family or close friends.
Rather than trying to avoid negative people, focus instead on seeking out and spending more time with positive individuals and groups.
This Week’s Action Steps:
1. Write down a list of the 10 people you spend the majority of your time with on a regular basis.
2. Go through your list and think about each person carefully. If the person is a positive influence and generally makes you feel good about yourself and about life, then write ‘Positive’ next to their name. On the other hand, if the person is a negative influence and regularly makes you feel bad about yourself and about life, then write ‘Negative’ next to their name.
3.Take note of the number of positive and negative influences in your life.
4. Resolve to spend more time with the people who are sources of positive energy and less time with the people who are sources of negativity.
Until next time,
Dare To Dream!
